The Station in Parkhurst offers a dining experience like no other, drawing inspiration from the iconic London Underground. From the moment you step inside, you’re transported to a world of retro charm, with tube station signage, industrial accents, subway-style seating and sounds, all creating a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere. The vibe of the restaurant further elevates this immersive experience, making it feel both nostalgic and fresh.
The service at The Station was exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, ensuring a smooth dining experience from start to finish. They took the time to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Their recommendations were spot on, contributing to an overall seamless and enjoyable experience.
We were impressed by the menu, which is an exciting blend of comfort food and creative twists, with each dish expertly crafted from high-quality ingredients. Our starters were flavour-packed options, including the Kingston calamari tubes filled with a creamy, Spanish-infused spices, smoked chorizo, and a mild sriracha dipping sauce. The Churchill chicken wings, drenched in famous Prego sauce, are a must-try, as is the tangy fried express-train Spanish chorizo served on a bed of guacamole and salsa, perfectly complemented by a lemon wedge and toasted ciabatta.
For the main course, The Station delivers generously portioned dishes that don’t disappoint. The Big Ben burger is a meat lover’s dream – stacked high with bacon, cheese, smoky BBQ onions, and a fresh garnish, making every bite satisfying. The prawn and chicken pasta was another standout for us, with succulent queen prawns in a rich tomato-cream sauce, accompanied by tender chicken strips, tagliatelle, and just the right balance of garlic, parmesan, and fresh chili. As steak lovers, we very much enjoyed the hearty, perfectly grilled rump steak, topped with Café de Paris butter and served with Cuban rice. It was a flavourful choice.
We rounded off the meal in the best way possible with a deliciously indulgent dessert selection. The cookies and cream was a rich and creamy treat, while the freshly baked cake was a melt-in-your-mouth delight, bursting with flavour. Each bite was the perfect end to a memorable dining experience, leaving us completely satisfied and eager to return for more.
We also discovered that on Tuesdays, The Station offers five mouth-watering tapas at a price of just three, allowing guests to sample a variety of tasty bites at a fantastic value. Then, on Wednesdays, guests can have two delicious burgers at a discounted rate. These offers are the perfect excuse to gather your friends and indulge in great food at an even better price.
Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a relaxed meal, The Station in Parkhurst is the perfect spot for those craving delicious food, a one-of-a-kind atmosphere, and exceptional service. Highly recommended!
