The Marine Hotel in Hermanus will wrap up its series of food and wine pairing dinners on Friday, September 6, 2024, by collaborating with Bouchard Finlayson for a five-course gourmet event.
Head Chef Oelof Vorster’s culinary masterpieces will be enhanced by selections from Hemel en Aarde winery, with Assistant Winemaker Barend Erasmus presenting the wines at The Origins Restaurant.
Canapés will be served on arrival with a glass of Blanc de Mer 2024, followed by starter courses of prawns and pineapple curry enjoyed with the Sauvignon Blanc 2024; and linefish perfectly paired with the Crocodile’s Lair Chardonnay 2023.
The main course of seared kudu loin promises a feast of flavours enhanced by the Galpin Peak Pinot Noir 2022, before the dinner ends on a high note with a Chevin custard tart paired with the 2021 vintage of the Aurum straw wine.
